Topic: More of a CSS question, but...

I am not used to responsive theme. So, I am having trouble to change de behaviour of my theme for mobiles (I am happy with it for PC).

The issue is with my blog and posts pages (http://www.barichello.coffee/blog). I want to move the right column to the bottom of the page when the user is acessing it on a mobile device.

Could anybody give a hint of how I can do that?

Thank you!

Re: More of a CSS question, but...

Yes!

I would like to show it not as a column, but in the bottom of the page.

it is very easy! wink

css code:

.label {
    display: inline;
    padding: .2em .6em .3em;
    font-size: 75%;
    font-weight: bold;
    line-height: 1;
    color: #fff;
    text-align: center;
    white-space: normal;
    vertical-align: baseline;
    border-radius: .25em;
}

But this is going to affect the layout even for PCs, right?

I want to change it only for mobiles.

Re: More of a CSS question, but...

The easiest way to solve this is to change the column markup in your template.  Where it says:

col-xs-8

and

col-xs-4

change them to

col-md-8

and

col-md-4

That should 'break' the layout for anything smaller than 'Medium' sized screens.  As it is now, it is being told to render the full 12 column width in two (8 and 4) columns even on 'xs' or extra small devices like mobile devices.

Cheers!

Re: More of a CSS question, but...

Just to clarify, it looks like you've modified the default theme (nice!) and so you would probably want all of your pages fixed.  That means you'd need to change that 'xs' to 'md' in all template files. I'm guessing that would be

blog.template.php, blog-post.template.php and index.template.php

Personally, when I create a theme by duplicating the default theme, I change ALL instances of col-xs-whatever to col-md-whatever.

Cheers!

Re: More of a CSS question, but...

I have a new CSS question...

How could I change the behaviour of the menu in mobiles?
I have no experience with interfaces for mobile and I do not like the way the menu is being showed in this kind of device. Also, I could not identify in the default style sheet any property that looked like that.

Could anyone give me some help?
